How do doctors check for lymph nodes?
I have a physical for my freshman year of football, and I was wondering what a lymph node was and how they check for it.
Best Answer: lymph nodes are part of the pack of the immune system and act like filters. They are literally everywhere. The check for lymph nodes is by palpating, or attitude for them under the skin. He will problably not check every node, perhaps the ones that are easy to bring to, such as in your neck. Don't worry, it wont hurt. You should be much more concerned roughly the hernia check (cough, cough). Anyway, good luck.

the lymph nodes can be feel around neck area, collar bone region , armpet and also groin area. irregular lymph nodes can be bigger in size when you or the doctors feels them on fingure,,,,causes of lymph nodes swellings are mostely infection. cancer of the lymph nodes call lymphoma can cause the swelling as well

a doctor usually looks for lymph nodes in the following regions. below the jawline,in the axilla,on any side of groin.if you are normal,lymph nodes are barely felt.if in attendance is an infection they are painful and enlarged.what happen when ringworm if not here untreated?
