Does getting a Tuberculosis Skin question paper hurt?
I'm volunteering at a hospital this summer and next week I have to catch a TB skin test. I have a horrible terror of needles and pain, so I'm quite worried more or less whether or not there is much pain surrounded by getting a TB skin test.

Answers: There are two different types of skin tests for TB, a Heaf check and a Mantoux test. I'm pretty sure the Heaf test is once in a blue moon used now so you will probably be getting the more recent Mantoux test.
Does it hurt? I'll be totally honest next to you, yes it does but only a little bit, I promise :)
The theory test is given intradermally which means that the needle is injected a short time ago under the first layer of your skin, so it's not going contained by deep at all! It won't be similar to any other injection you've ever had. Most vaccinations you will enjoy already experienced are given into your muscle so the needle is quite big, this is I don`t know why you have developed a fear of needles! However as the TB interview is an injection into your dermis the needle is absolutely TINY!
It will be a tiny sharp gash, but the nurse giving the injection may take about 10 second or so before she removes the needle, this is basically because he or she will need to make sure they are injecting into the right place.
So please don't frenzy, it probably won't hurt as much as other injections you have had within the past, but it's done in a slightly different bearing. Just take a deep breath and relax!! If you are rigid and anxious it will probably be worse.
Make sure you treat yourself afterwards!! And well done you for volunteering at the hospital, it's a very rewarding and commendable piece to do. :-)

Not really. It's like getting a shot. They inject something into your arm, and then you of late let it sit for a day. Then, you obligation to go back within to have it read. It only hurts if you hold a idiot giving it to you that doesnt know what they are doing.
Not too bad.
Feels like a touch pinch I had one yesterday...not too bad... only just feels like a vaccine
