Earlope swollen, itchy, red, and tender?

just got my ear pierced, but i'm sure its NOT INFECTED. i'm sooo worried, what can i do? I don't want to bear the earring out?

I have radioactive for overactive thyroid 4 weeks ago?


Answers:    What type of metal did you get for your piercings? Some people are allergic to nickel, and will even act in response to surgical stainless steel. You might want to look at getting sterling silver, titanium, or 14 karat or higher gold earrings. I'm allergic to nickel so when I get pierced earrings I used titanium.

If you're allergic to the earrings that are in go and return with a pair of the metals I listed and switch them into the holes. Yes, it's gonna hurt, and yes, it's gonna suck, but consequently you'll still get to wear earrings.

Also you might want to try some allergy medicine or hydrocortisone to stop the recoil, itchiness, and irritation.
