External hemorrhoid at 22?
hi there... i'm 22, and when i was 21 i construe i got an external hemorrhoid. not to sound hurtful, but i was constipated for a while and then get bouts of diarrhea. the hemorrhoid, for the most part, stays inside but you can feel it resembling a lump right around my rectum. when i strain all the tissues around my rectum become inflamed and sort of come out a bit while i am going to the bathroom.
this is for the med community out there ---
do you expect this may be serious because i am younger?
do i have to go to a doctor (i've read online near is no cure, and to just treat symptoms).. .and if so, what sort of doctor should i go to?
are here any pretty good treatments besides preparation h?
also, the hemorrhoid does not bother me at all... not itching, burning, etc. it is not even discolored, it lately looks pink like the rest of the tissue. i am 22, 5'5" and weigh 140 and eat fit regularly.
Answers: A hemorrhoid is a varicose vein of the lower intestine, and sometimes can happen right at the anus- which it sounds is your suitcase. You can get one at any age, being 22 is not a protection. It's not serious but, but it can get serious if you don't make a few change. Starting with your diet. You say you still necessitate to strain to have a bowel movement, and that's one thing you should never enjoy to do at all if your diet is good. You inevitability more fiber in the diet, there- so matters move along smoothly. Preparation H is more for treating the symptoms, it doesn't treat the do. That's diet. You need to eat like mad more fruit and veggies, and whole grain foods, and smaller number meat and refined flour products. More salads, fewer burgers and fries- wheat bread and not white. You can also affix a glass of one of the soluble fiber drinks to the routine once a day, merely to be sure you have enough to move things along. You also want to drink more fluids, though not alcohol, and you should revise to take a little time contained by the little reading room. You should not ever strain at all. If you get constipated, and grain like you just can't step easily- then you can add within a mild laxative like Senakot, or toss a spoonful of flax seeds over something you will eat- a salad or doesn`t matter what, or even in with your morning bowl of flakes. Whatever you do, stay away from the chemical laxatives. A regular doctor can backing you with this, but that's the basic suggestion they give when a hemorrhoid is still in the stage you describe. If you modification your diet, it will shrink and likely disappear. If you don't, eventually it will break, bleed, and itch- and if you let it walk long enough and get doomed to failure enough, it's a surgical fix. You really, really don't want it to get to that point. Diet change and regular non-straining movement should let matters treat in a matter of months. However, if you slip support into the bad habits, it can return suddenly with a vengence. This isn't a fix and forget thing- it's a fix and stay on the remedy to keep it fixed piece. Good luck, just remember to eat your veggies. 5 nice servings a daylight, plus fruit and wholegrains.
You think it's a hemorrhoid? If you can reduce it (push it backbone in so it stays) then it probably is..however, it could be a form of viral wart.
Get checked by your primary MD since you assume anything. External 'roids usually cause symptoms of burning and itching..so, I'm suspicious about your diagnosis since you state you are not have any symptoms at all. Best of luck! Take some fiber...good for constipation and diahrrea. Use witch hazel on the other ailment
hemmi's can impose colon cancer, don't go there !
I have an external hemmi and surgery was the only choice I have. The
post-surgery was very rough.I did have bleeding for several months after but it's normal in recent times eat as much fiber as possible ! !
The week after surgery was prickly when I had a bowel movement but they do give you torment pills.
Sitting in a tub with heat up water will make the agony somewhat less.
Preperation H just make it feel better but wil not cure the problem.Hemmi's are caused by sitting or standing too much. Also the scarcity of fiber in your diet.
Please go carry them removed ! ! !
This is going to fall under total TMI, but here we step:
A few years ago I had something similar, which I thought was a roid. It didn't hurt or itch, lately kind of popped out to say hi everytime I go to the bathroom. Finally, I had enough and go to a colorectal doctor (there is really, really nothing more degrading than being curled up on that table) and he informed me that it be actually a rectal papilla. It was from a small internal gash (from constipation...eat up that fiber!!) that healed next to excessive scar tissue. So I had surgery to hold it removed and it hasn't come back. The surgery actually wasn't as fruitless as I had anticipated. So, that's my fun story.
I would definately see a specialist because it might be something you can get treated.
Hi nearby, Hemorrhoids are extremely common! 80% of people attain them at some stage in their lives. (Age is no barrier to getting them). When you're fear constipated you mustn't strain when you need to do a no. 2! Only go when you are REALLY busting...most folks poo once every day...or once every 2 days.
In addition, you have need of to have a healthy and impartial diet. Eat 6-8 servings of vegetables everyday and foods to soften your stools! Such as Prunes, Prune Juice etc. Drink plenty of water and exercise 30mins a afternoon.
Best thing for you to do is go to your General Practitioner doctor and ask for rectal suppositories (Which you can return with from your chemist)! Doctors deal with these things on a each day basis.
Hemorrhoids are usually caused from intake too much junkfood and not enough fibre, dehydration...not satisfactory water...and stress. Hope this helps!
