I am on a birth control pill and of late found out I hold type 2 herpes. Will the birth control effect me??
Will the birth control effect me having outbreaks less or more or own no effect??
Answers: First, let me offer my condolences on your diagnosis. I assume you enjoy HSV2 genitally? That can be really rough. I remember when I was first diagnosed. I was a wreck.
I've never hear of a link between birth control pills and herpes outbreaks, but everyone's body is different. If you've just be diagnosed, then you may not know yet how habitually you'll get outbreaks. Some people solitary get the one, and then never acquire one again. Other's get them more often. I'd dally to see what happens.
Also, you should know that, whatever you do, you're symptoms will probably lessen as time go by. Antiviral drugs will reduce the likelihood that you will spread herpes, and will abet your symptoms.
By the way, the best place that I know for getting reliable information on herpes is the website below. There is so much misinformation floating around (even from some doctors) that it can be helpful to enjoy somewhere that you know you can get a straight answer. They also have a toll-free hotline you can telephone.
Good luck.
no it wont affect you but i think you should have protected sex in recent times because you might give herpes to your partner. i THINK IT HAS HAS NOTHING TO DO .
