I can't come across to lower my blood sugar. I'm taking insulin and the proper medication, what else can I do?

I don't sit around and eat candy bars and sweets approaching most people think diabetics do. I own type 2 diabetes, eat mostly salads and healthy foods and draw from some exercise. Last night I ate a salad around 6:30 and that was it. I woke up this morning and my blood sugar be 398. It's like this all of the time, and my doctor, contained by my opinion, doesn't have a clue..but beside my insurance..he's all I've got. I don't drink fried foods, sweets or bread products. Is anyone else having these kind of problems, or is it only me? I don't know what to do!!

Answers:    i don't have type 2 diabetes, but i have type 1, so i'll purely put my 2 cents in on what i know. if you are checking your sugars at night beforehand you go to sleep, and your blood sugar is still high surrounded by the morning you could be experiencing what's known as "dawn phenomenon" it's when your blood sugar spikes within the morning no matter what. this doesn't happen as habitually in type 2, but it's possible.

you might need to adjust how you pilfer your insulin. are you taking insulin when your sugars are high to bring them down? your ratio may need to be in the swing of things. i know you say that with your insurance this doctor is adjectives you've got. you should try as hard as you can to find another doctor... perchance talk to your insurance company about what you can do. i would assume you've tried this adjectives before seeing as this is a serious disease not to mess around with, but try again...it's the one and only way things might change. this is your existence and he does not seem to be taking care of you properly.

i'm glad to hear that you drink healthy, that is a through thing in keeping your sugars contained by control, but like i said...you seem close to you may need more insulin or an adjust of your ratios. our bodies exchange over time, and we should adjust accordingly, which is partially why you should hold a good relationship with your doctor...so they know what's going on.
