Septoplasty, Allergies and Asthma?

I'm getting septoplasty and turbinate surgery due to a deviated septum which has been cause sinus problems. Does anyone know if this can help with allergies and asthma too?

I get a bite that's for a moment larger than a mosquito one and itches and won't run away??

Answers:    I've have both surgeries when I had my rhinoplasty a couple years ago for my deviated septum. It will help beside your breathing but it won't help with the allergies or asthma. You'll be capable of breathe a lot better since your septum will be straighter and your turbinates will be smaller. But you will need to stay away from the allergens. 2D

I only had this surgery done almost 2 months ago. BEST thing I ever did!! It won't give support to with your allergies just as the other character mentioned on here... that has to do with histamine and your body's hypersensitivity to those allergens.

The one piece of advice I can offer is nearly your turbinates... make sure they don't do a turbinectomy. Some doctors out there will cut rotten a portion or all of a turbinate or several of your turbinates. THAT IS BAD. It can lead to Empty Nose Syndrome. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empty_nose_...

Turbinates are responsible for humidifying the heavens we breathe. There is a procedure they can do to reduce their size without adjectives them out or cutting parts out. It is almost like "liposuction" for your turbinates. They can budge in and take out some of the internal tissue of the turbinate but give the turbinate itself intact. This will reduce the size, but allow the turbinate to still function properly, just as since.

I wanted to make sure when my doctor said he'd entail to reduce my turbinates that this was done, and he said to be exact exactly what they do, and he agreed that when doctors remove turbinates or cut them down, that it's bad.

What does it suggest if a child's birth mother be HIV positive>?

It will not help beside allergies, because that's your body's histamine reacting to something that's irritating it in the envirionment.

It will not give support to asthma because that deals with your lungs, bronchials etc..
