Lowering cholesterol reduces you statistical risks, rather than have an absolute effect on your day to daytime risks of another coronary event. Thus for example stopping it for 7 days increases any risk so infinitesimally as to to be irrelevant. CHECK WITH YOUR GP FIRST, but faced with a lenient with this story, I might have suggested stopping the drug for 1 week to see if the bloating stops, if it does, restart and see if it recur.
I am on the same thing and I have a "bout" with bloating too. It went away and I hold been fine since. The doc got my most modern blood work back and said my numbers were polite.I have been on it for a couple of years presently along with Omega 3 and lisinporil. You might want to do what I did for a while and make a day after day log of any symptoms and diet changes and show the list to the doc when you turn. I have been taking this tablet for a couple of years and although I go and get stomach bloating, I know the Simvasatin is not responsible.
Stomach bloating can be caused by any number of things and it really is best to get it checked by your doctor.
Until afterwards -don't worry.
