Tick request for information?
Okay, so there was this huge tick on my bathroom floor. It be green, and looked like an adult, because I looked it up on google. I dropped a huge social studies book on it [lol] and when I lift it up, there was a disgusting puddle of blood. Like a PUDDLE, the size of partially my hand. [Including fingers, lol.] I had my brother verbs it up. When I picked up the social studies book, there were two more puddles the size of partially my hand on the book and the floor. It was fresh blood, plainly. My cat was a stray four years ago and still likes to sneak outside. I don't know where on earth he is right now, but he's in the house. My ask is, that seemed like closely of blood, and I don't want this to seem like a stupid query, but if it's all my cat's blood, should we take him to the vet? Thank you =]
Answers: yea I would recommend that you filch you cat to the vet to get it checked out and to make sure that you cat doesn't hold any more ticks on him and that the tick didn't have any negative affects (if it come from your cat). Also you should get some type of medicine that will ensure that your cat won't obtain any more ticks.
You should get a tick and flee protector for your animals. We have it for my dog. All we enjoy to do is put a little it of ointment on him once a month and he's protected. Because you dont want these little critters running around your house :) And the aim they have so much blood in them is because that's pretty much how they survive.. and they can seriously verbs into your skin so far that they are surrounded by nothing but blood. A wonderful thought, eh?
Good luck! that is disgusting! lol! anyway, i wouldnt purloin him to the vet. part of that blood is from the tick anyway, and the other part would be your cats blood too. besides theres really zilch the vet could do. i would just wait awhile to see if another tick comes up. if it does than go and get some flea and tick spray or a flea/tick collar. i hope your cat is bettter!!
dont worry because its probably not all of your cats blood ticks enjoy to suck on alot of other animals to get that big then it probably come on yout cat and then the cat either scratched it sour or it got to big and fell off but dont verbs your cat is probably fine I would just watch him at first. If he starts acting different after I would take him. I dont think its adjectives your cats blood because ticks usually move around from animal to animal.
Yes, its probably safer to take your cat to the vet even if you're not sure whether it's your cat's blood or not. =) you may want to take him to the vet if he's acting sick, but I'd check him for ticks for sure.
Nah, he should be fine. It is GROSS though - isn't it?!?! no. your cat will produce more itself
ya i guess only just to be safe kill it
