Nasal polyps?

Answers:    Your blood results are inside normal range except for neutrophilic leucocytosis (elevated neutrophil sector of WBCs). Since white cell count is quite high; i believe infection has flared up quite a bit so you entail to see a physician asap to identify the cause.
Since you mentioned trip to SE Asia; it could be filariasis if associated with irregular confusion. Or, it could be a bacterial infection resistant to commonly used anti-biotics. Also, filariasis is treated with drugs other than commonly used anti-biotics.
Some other blood reports will mostly be required within your case to confirm the diagnosis. So, go see a Doc asap.

Bad response to caramel?

U can try this...trimthoprim-sulfamethoxazole,or quinolone/ampiciline... it sounds approaching uretritis caused by gonorrhea.-
neisseria gonorrhea, the bacteria that cause it could be resistent to penicilin, maybe that's why antibiotics didn't work.-
you should get a culpture of the discharge.
that would confirms the agent and allows to interview it for sensitivity to antibiotics, and determine which one use.-
and please, don't self medicate with antibiotics, it's dangerous and taking the wrong antibiotic can create resistence to antibiotics, and that would be set to that further treatment won't work, so please only take what your doctor prescribes.-
