White spots on my arms after tanning!?
I just recently started tanning. I progress out about 2x a week for 2 hours. The other day I be outside for 45 minutes and felt really sick, hot, had nausa (sp), feel weak and then these white spots appeared on my arm and a touch on my chest. I've applied fungus cream and aloe but they wont go away! what can they be? what can i do?
Answers: Hey, Just about 2 months ago I get white spots on my upper arm as well. I went to see my dermatologist, and he said that it is not a fungus because apperantly my skin wasn't blistering. He said that these spots may never go away... and he said there be no treatment for them.
Well, not all dermatologists are correct, because my father and my sister both had the exact same article (in the summer time), and a dermatologist diagnosed them with Tinea versicolor. He prescribed them pills and voiillaaa, the spots dissappeared right away. I will find out the name for you if you want messege me. I am getting the pills tomorrow dark so we'll see how it works.
well as far as being dizzy... probability are you were hungery but most likely you be too dehydrated to be out in the sun, i find this to be the issue when i attempt to move about in a stand up at a salon... so if i wanna go into the stand up i drink a few bottles of marine during the day.. remember u are supposed to be drinking 6-8 / 8oz glasses of wet a day to allow your body to function correctly...
as for the spotting what are yo using to tan beside ?
it could be over exposure causing your skin to become blotchy... i tanned indoors later sat outside for a while.. and i got matching spots on my back so you are not a FREAK... just keep on it out and stay out of the sun they will fade withing 1-2 weeks depending on the damage.. if u verbs to tan they will stay there plus ur sunburn is uneven...
however it was clever for you to grab the antifungal cream because similar spots can and will occur i dont know how but my hubby get some spots that look the sameas your do.. but when he sweats they turn red... the footspray got rid of it.. it was chance we dont know what it was but it was not contageous...
This is a form of too much sun to the skin. I suggest use a stronger factor of sun cream. If these white spots turn out too much, it could be a symptom of skin cancer so contact your GP if you are really concerned. The nausea is heat stroke, so take a break within between tanning and sit in the shade. If the spots appear to be the skin color verses a unwary or something on the skin then it is probably just a slight skin of poor circulation. If it is something on the skin you need to see a dermatologist.
Its damage to your skin. I bring them when I go out into the sun. The next time you run tanning, you will notice those spots won't get any sun, ever. It is your bodies channel of telling you to stop tanning. the sun just didnt acquire those spots...
i no what you mean they are called pigments . your using the sunbed too much
