When you attain a cut, what heal first?

Does your skin heal first? Or your muscles? Thanks in advance.
Best Answer: It depends on the type of cut and how cavernous it is. Ususally muscle is not involved in cuts, if it is it's a very bad wound that desires medical attention. If you're asking about run of the mill injuries that people would get, such as scrape, small cuts, etc. what happens is the skin repairs itself from the outside in. The edges of the wound heal faster than the center. That happen because in the center there is nothing to build stale of-- on the edges the wound is surrounded by healthy skin. So the new skin builds out from there.
