I hold pay for misery and a numb toe!?
I have a pain in my pay for above my right hip. The big toe of my right foot feels like a thick lip you gain when you've had a dentist anaesthetic.
Is this sciatica? I have had the typical sciatica up to that time, but I am told there are 5 sciatic nerves and this is another, rarer symptom.
And how would you get it treated? Chiropractor?
Best Answer: You have two sciatic nerves, one for respectively leg! If you have a disc problem the disc can bulge out and press on a nerve going into your leg. Light pressure causes cramp, greater pressure causes pins and needles and the most pressure causes numbness (similar to how you feel if you feign on your elbow - your hand will get pins and needles or numbness if you lie on it too long). As it get better your numbness will improve to pins and needles and then perhaps distress before getting completely better. Ideally you want your toe to get better and the pain to run back into your spine (called centralisation) - the symptoms becoming more central is a sign of improvement. Might achieve better itself or see an osteopath or physio for help.

I only can wriye you from my personal issue. I didn't have a numb toe, but suffered for almost 12 months...tooooo long to own waited, but, I actually had 4..."4" degenerative discs surrounded by my neck, that are now removed, and it affected at least possible 3-4 of my limbs, which considerably bothered me, EXCEPT for my neck. Headaches? Oh BOY. Migraines. Sleeplessness, comfort, and was losing strength adjectives over. It was my NECK. I have had sciatica problems stale & on since 1987. That alone is painful. So, that was my problem. Took me 20 years of dancing beside this, so unaware my NECK was the culprit. Wish you the best, sorry I have nil better to send you. Billie < i'm a girl Billie :)
