Medical suggestion needed please?
My boyfriend fainted last week after coming out of the pool, when he came round, he go blue and struggled to breathe. He was given some oxygen by staff at the leisure centre, but afterwards his blood pressure went sky high and he passed out again. He was brought to the local hospital where on earth they did some blood tests, an ECG and x rays. The ECG and Xrays were fine, his blood tests showed that he have a high number of white blood cells, indicating that his body was conflict a virus. So the doc told him he had a virus and prescribed an antibiotic. They couldnt explain the reason for the high blood pressure and for his inability to breath for a jiffy.
I wasnt with him when this happenned. But having spent the weekend with him, I am worried as he is clearly not himself, and he said he feels there is a part of him missing. Is it possible that he suffered a stroke and the docs be unable to detect it? He seems to be in a constant daze and for a moment confused. He is going to see his owen doctor for a second opinion, I just wanted to see what ancestors thought or if anyone knew of someone that had a similiar experience. I am so worried about him, I want my antiquated happy loving boyfriend back. I really hope this is something that will pass
He is unanimously quite healthy, he swims a few times a week. He does smoke quite a bit as okay tho, and likes his coffee...thought this extra info may help. thanks
Best Answer: That is unquestionably scary and he should certainly seek a second evaluation as soon as possible. First off, if you are sure they said VIRAL infection, and they gave him an antibiotic, that's your first clue something is wrong with the robustness care he received, as antibiotics kill bacteria, but do nought against a virus. If his mood and/or cognition has changed since the incident, that can indicate a neurological issue, and he should definitely be seen soon and own a head CT scan. I'd like to be able to communicate you it's probably nothing and you're overreacting, but it could potentially be serious. So, encourage him to get relief.
