Help, it hurts when I breathe, what's wrong?
I woke up last Saturday feeling a bit weird. I notice when I breathed in the upper right side rib cage hurt(the area vitally covering your heart) feels strange and hurts a little.
It doesn't hurt a lot too the point where on earth I feel like crying, but it still feels abnormal and slightly painful. It feels as if something is poking me in the inside when I breathe surrounded by. Also it only happens if I'm like lounging rear legs or laying down. If I'm facing forward then it doesn't hurt too bad.
It's very soon Monday and the symptoms are still not gone.
Do I have a collapsed lung?
Oh and I don't smoke.
Please don't say "go to the hospital" or something close to that, I already know the Hospital would be the best choice, but I wanna ask here first.
Best Answer: I think I know what it is. I think that some of your ribs may be out. ( Yes it's possible.) My ribs go out and it feel like a knife is jabbing you surrounded by the ribs. But really it's your ribs jabbing your lungs, When you breath in. It's either that your the cartilage within between your ribs are having a weird spazim, I also have this. I would any go to a chiropractor or a physical therapist. Best of luck!
