Swollen foot from traveling for 3 days?
I have been traveling across country for 3 days now. My not here foot is really swollen where I can barely move my toes and my calf is also swollen, it's even starting to spread to my upper leg. I think this is because I own been eating a lot of swift food, haven't drank enough water and haven't moved around enough.
Has anyone have this happen to them when on a long trip? If so, what did you do?
Best Answer: Go to the ER now, you could have formed a blood clot from sitting to long during your travels. Better to be secure than sorry.

Stop all of the brisk food it is very high in sodium and extremely unhealthy. It would be wise to have a Venus Doppler check done on your legs to be sure you do not have blood clots. Drink plenty of water and walk around every few hours when you are traveling. Sitting for extreme period of time can cause blood clotting that cuts off circulation in the lower extremities which cause the swelling. I never have leg swelling, but I drink about 6 or 8 16 ounce bottles of water day after day and peep my brains out. Plus I walk around a lot. Probably 1 to 2 miles a year. Good Luck.
