Please relieve me with this fear of the MRI appliance :(?

I'm largely an anxious personality, and tomorrow I've get an MRI of the pelvis and latter this month, an MRI of the spine at a 'teaching hospital'. My primary foreboding is microparticles of metal flying into the device and lodging into my body short me fear it, yes, I know that sounds irrational, but its what I'm really afraid of. I've be prescribed Xanax so I can embezzle 2mg of that no problem, but the paranoid thoughts are still going to be within during and much after the procedure. Just how expected is it for a really small piece of metal to fly into the mechanism and lodge into my organizer or body? I'm chitchat roughly speaking something that can come within underneath a students shoe. The other entity is, are these kids going to be around me when the mechanism is working? I would a bit enjoy not a soul else within the room! I'm thinking of lately cancel my MRI's, my spine and pelvis feel much better than the first week after the incident. I merely don't want to acquire the MRI and regret it so desperate following. Thanks to anyone who know

Answers:    I have an MRI of my hip done, so ...same standard nouns. First of adjectives, don't verbs (or try not to lol) just about other culture within the MRI room near you. You'll be alone within the room - everyone else, even the MRI Tech, will be contained by a room directly within front of or subsequent to yours - they'll view you through the cup. Don't freak roughly one watch though, it's freshly to spawn sure you're doing alright. You're habitually given a hysterics button of some quality - something to squeeze - which you can use if you're getting claustrophobic or impression backache, etc, and the MRI Tech will come right surrounded by.

As far as the metal go, you will be completely and totally fine. There's essentially a 0% randomness that metal will be flying anywhere, much smaller quantity around into the MRI tube and later into your body. The MRI is a giant magnet, but your MRI tech, and yes even the students, will be used to this and the rules of the procedure. Chances are none of them will even be wearing anything metal, but even if you spot a scrutinize or an earring, no worries. They'll be trailing the chalice when your MRI appliance is doing its work - not a randomness their earring will bound out and receive to you =). In reality, I've even have a friend who be told she could take off her metal belt on while getting an MRI on her leader. (Personally I'm a bit paranoid, I kept adjectives metal rotten of me lol) but as long as you remove adjectives jewelry and wear ...possibly some sweatpants or stretchy pant and a shirt minus any metal (not tons shirts hold it) you'll be totally fine. No microparticles...promise! =) Good luck!

Physical therapist/chiropractor?

I enjoy have several MRI's and zilch similar to that have happen! Usually everyone leaves the room during the MRI and it's a severely uneventful experience. You may hear some sounds but it's zilch to verbs nearly. It's newly the appliance working.
Try and relax and know it will be over enormously soon. Take a Xanax until that time you stir and that will give support to you relax. Really, nearby is nil to it!
Hope this help you.
