Please oblige me with this fear of the MRI piece of equipment :(?

I'm across the world an anxious personality, and tomorrow I've get an MRI of the pelvis and following this month, an MRI of the spine at a 'teaching hospital'. My major nervousness is microparticles of metal flying into the apparatus and lodging into my body short me premonition it, yes, I know that sounds irrational, but its what I'm really afraid of. I've be prescribed Xanax so I can pinch 2mg of that no problem, but the paranoid thoughts are still going to be near during and much after the procedure. Just how imagined is it for a really small piece of metal to fly into the contrivance and lodge into my skipper or body? I'm chitchat just about something that can come surrounded by below a students shoe. The other article is, are these kids going to be around me when the mechanism is working? I would a bit hold not a soul else surrounded by the room! I'm thinking of only cancel my MRI's, my spine and pelvis feel much better than the first week after the incident. I basically don't want to go and get the MRI and regret it so fruitless then. Thanks to anyone who know

Hurts to breath in?

Answers:    You don't hold to verbs roughly have anyone else surrounded by the room. The techs give up your job the room to operate the equipment from a computer.

I worked surrounded by a training hospital within a different department, but I remember audible range at a conference that a janitor have unknowingly taken his mop bucket (which have a metal piece on it) inside this room after hours, and it get stuck to the MRI contraption. So, if anyone have things on their foot formerly the exam, it should fly to the gadget short hurting you.

These services do millions of MRI scan a year, and are awfully safe and sound. Don't verbs and angelic luck.
