Best Answer: Yes, the entry in his chest protects his heart. It is like a powered magnet. When he got blasted by the shrapnel bomb peices of shrepnal enter his body. The peices would eventaully sink in and go in his heart. That would = passing :( So the magnet holds the shrapnel in place from entering in his heart.
