Why Would My Doctor Find This Symptom Slightly Worrying/Something for Me to Watch?
I'm fifteen and I'm pretty sure I have Social Anxiety Disorder.
Today, I went to go see my family circle doctor about my anxiety, and I mentioned that I sometimes hear cats screeching, especially when I put my ear to my pillow at night, but there's nil there. The sound almost always stops when I bear my ear of the pillow. It doesn't quite sound real, but I still distinctly hear cats; other one of my three cats.
I have three cats who I really love, and they're indoor-outdoor cats, so I worry about them at dark.

Best Answer: Hearing any kind of nouns that isn't actually happening is always something any virtuous doctor keeps an eye on. Most likely it is either something minor wrong beside your actually ear or anxiety related problems. It could also be something called night terror. The reason they keep an eye on it, however, is because hearing voice, while usually nothing to worry about, can also be a sign of a bigger mental ailment such as psychopathic problems which I'm sure you don't have, so don't worry.
Answer: Phantom auditory sounds could mean a problem beside the inner ear or he could just be shining you on.
