My boy friend have pretty desperate depression and he's be freaking out lately?

My boyfriend has depression, and it's pretty bad. While his mother, who he got it from is on medication, he refuse, because he's afraid of the side affects. It's sort of like one minute he's fine the next he's freaking out and crying over the idea of me going to academy or something of that nature; I've gotten much better at helping him get through these episodes, but he just have one of the worst ones I've ever seen. He was saying he couldn't trust me, and I come across so perfect but there must be something wrong so he's been probing for it and all this stuff that doesn't make sense. He's afraid I'll leave him and be next to someone else, he's having a very scary breakdown! I enjoy no idea how to help him through this this time. Does anyone have a partner near emotion problems? I just want to help but I can't numeral how.
Best Answer: Hi Jejos, I have bipolar, and it sounds like maybe he could hold something like that, too. Sometimes with bipolar disorder, it can switch back and forth that fast. Sounds like he does need some medicine, and I don`t know a counselor. Maybe you could go with him? He seems to be pretty insecure more or less everything. As far as side effects go, usually they go away after a certain amount of time, and you bring back used to it. My lithium makes me pee all of the time, but it is not something I can't live with. Good luck. Take attention!

Should I convey her this notification?

give him a big ass hug. im serious, and be really thankfull that he isnt on medication. thats the worst thing for depression, cause u reliy on it to be lively. and then when u get off of it, ur screwed

Depressed in need even realize it?

The fundamental thing you can do is just be there. Reassure him when it seem as if he needs it most. My ex-boyfriend was just close to that, and it took all I had to make him better. He be very emotional, and he had rather a few mood swings. Be there by your man's side, and tell him constantly how much you love him, how you will never leave him, and how you will other be there for him, especially when he needs you most. Let him know that his depression doesn't affect your relationship, and make sure that his mother is aware of the change he is going through. If you give him more attention than necessary, he might start getting 'better'. I hope this has help.

I am other afraid that i will return...

there are only side effects if you are taking the wrong one and by the sound of it, he definately should try. There are oodles different types of anti-depressant drugs and I found that the first few types I tried made me sick. Then I tried Cipramil and it's worked perfectly for years. I don't want to ever go off it, it make such a huge difference in my life. With proper treatment for depression, its like not have depression at all! It's like opening your eyes for the first time... its adjectives for a depressed person to feel worthless, paranoid, insecure, confused... and trying to talk nearly the feelings just makes them worse... if ever I'm upset.. I newly want my hubby to give me a big smile, a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek. Try to convince him to give medication a try and if one doesn't work, don't give up because here IS light at the end of the tunnel!!

He is obviously not functioning well as he is. Medications will be monitored regularly by taking blood levels and monitored by a physician. If he have a true chemical imbalance therapy can only assistance him deal with accepting his condition and not in controlling is depression cycles. (if it even is depression or purely depression) Saying he could not trust you is paranoia. Tell him to bring an evaluation and a clear diagnosis and to stop guessing at what is wrong. Then explore treatment options once you know what they are. If god forbid he goes untreated and hurts himself or someone else he will not get to wish whether or not he receives treatment it will be forced upon him. Hurting himself could mean just not taking fastidiousness of himself or his home and personal needs. If he has a complete break he may face forced involuntary hospitalization. Better that he controls when and where on earth to get help.
