should you exercise when recovering anorexia?
hi, so im 16year old girl 5ft 2 and weight 82-85lbs, im curious, should i exercise while recovering? (yes, i truly am trying to recover) My nutritionist says to pay attention, but why? wouldn't i just gain like fifty lbs? i dont want to not exercise! is it ok to exercise? like 30min? shouldn't i do that to boost my metabolism? do you know? please answer! please no crap.
Best Answer: No. Listen to your nutritionalist and steal a break from exercising. You won't automatically get fat or out of shape because of it. Your body is trying to recuperate from severe neglect and abuse, and you don't need to strain yourself or go and get caught up in exercise routines. They can only hurt you at this point, unless they're extremely minimal (maybe a way of walking around the block or something). Once your physical health is up to par, you can begin exercising again.
