nonstandard theta side on an eeg?
My mom has just been diagnosed next to abnormal theta waves. Her brain has a glorious frequency of waves while she is awake that are normally only present surrounded by people who are drifting off to sleep. It is believed that this is what caused the seizure she had as a child and recently she was also diagnosed beside manic depression and bipolar disorder. she is on meds and doing much better but i see myself exhibiting similar traits of irritation easily and not being able to focus on more than one article very easily. I am wondering if anyone here knows anything around this disorder and whether or not theta wave abnormalities are genetic. I just have a baby girl and I want to make sure what i went through as a child near an undiagnosed mother inst the case for her. please help.
thanks yea i do verbs about things going on a lot. I am going to see my doctor for a full exam just want to gain a pre opinion form experience.
Best Answer: I dont know about abnormal theta breakers. but mental illness' do often run in families. in that is a genetic factor involved as well as biological. if you have further concerns about your own mental condition then talk to your doctor about it right away..of late in case. you dont want to wait to long within case you do have something. But on the other hand you may be only fine. everyone gets irritable sometimes. and maybe your stressed out because of everything thats going on in your natural life right now. Try not to worry too much about it. well brought-up luck :)
