Best Answer: Fears are collectively the byproduct of an overactive imagination. When you become afraid, you're picturing in your mind all the things that may possibly go wrong: I could grasp hurt, I could fail, I could be embarrassed. What you could instead be doing is picturing what you WANT to happen: I'll succeed, it'll be awesome, those will be so impressed! :) It's a proven fact that the brain cannot tell the difference between something that is if truth be told happening, and the THOUGHT of something happening. (For example, if you think roughly speaking the most embarrasing thing that ever happened to you, I gurantee the associated emotions will switch on to reoccur the more time you spend thinking about it.) When you envision success, your brain will actually trigger an emotional/physical response to the notion of success. You'll feel confident, you'll feel cheerful, you'll feel unstoppable. And, you will be. :) Stuart Wilde touches on this in his series "Building Self Confidence." I also recommend Louise Hay's "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway" (the title alone has the best direction you can get on this subject,) and I think Tony Robbins also covers the material very well.
Experience. :)
