My friend is startled of going to a mental hospital? Will she (long, but I'm worried)?

She came over yesterday, and told me so much. I feel so bad, but big-hearted of scared. I already knew some of the stuff about her, but not everything. She's going to her psychologist tomorrow, and is worrying in the region of saying something that'll have her going to the psyche ward? -She says she sometimes hear voices. They whisper, they laugh at her, beckon her name and tell her to "come here" -She sees things resembling monsters, shadowy figures, ghosts, bugs -She feels things resembling bugs crawling over her skin, being burned, poked, someone running their fingers through her hair -She claims she sometimes smells burning rubber, or smoke -She is so scared that everyone is watching her. They can read her mind and want to hurt her, and they are trying to poison her. She said that she sometimes refuse to eat because of the poison, and usually goes every day next to one meal that only she can make, and some snacks -She think there are monsters living in her head, controlling every movement, apparently. She kept recitation me that they want to hurt her. She doesn't hear voices saying this, but she figured that since they are relating her to "come here", they want her to succumb to them, so they can hurt her. She's scared that they'll make her kill herself soon. -She showed me cuts on her arms and bruises on her legs. She said she did it. She said it relieves the stress, and she thinks that it'll make the monsters living in her guide happier. She thinks they might stop making her hallucinate so much. She was also diagnosed with Depersonalization, so niggle makes her feel less bogus and more like herself, she says. -She is scared that she might accidentally butcher herself one day because of the self-harm. They cuts aren't deep, but she's afraid one day she'll purely...snap. Her mood swings are craziness, and I've noticed...She doesn't want to kill herself, or anyone else (she says twice in a minute she's gotten violent with others, though she regrets it and is ashamed). She got really preventative when I asked her about some of it. I tried not to sound like I be making fun of her or anything, or yelling at her. She's scared of her parents, saying that she's afraid that they'll call for her liar, or crazy freak, or hurt her (as they've done in the past). She wants support, because she "can't take it anymore". She admitted that she's been thinking of taking sleeping pills to knock her out for a daytime so she doesn't have to feel anything. But she's scared of going to a mental institution, especially since she's hurt herself and is close to hurting others. I don't know what to do right now. She told me to tell no one, and I won't as long as it hurts not a soul. I'm worried that they'll lock her up. What are mental hospitals like? Best Answer: King Yahoo needs to get his facts straight. Mental hospitals are not the bearing he describes them to be. They are there to help you, counsel you, and get you on the meds you entail to help you with life. Mental hospitals hold guidelines, and can be shut down for inappropriate acts---and yes, they are monitored. She may need a hospital. I've been within one and it only lasted for 3 days. Long enough to diagnose me and gain me some counseling and on the road to a happier me. And guess what? I didn't exactly like being nearby, and it isn't the way I would choose to spend my time, but it worked for me. It has only gone up since consequently. (Personally, the break from outside stress was half of my recovery. There are days possibly it wouldn't be such a bad idea to go rear legs for a visit.) tunately, schizophrenia can't be fixed, and she will likely need lifelong drugs and psychiatric therapy. Go google schizophrenia and tell her to do the same. It's not as bad as relations think if treated with drugs. I don't usually advise peopel to help yourself to drugs but you can't just out think schizophrenia. You can out think depression. You don't turn to mental wards bc you have schizophrenia, only chronic schizophrenia and behavior that endanger the person or others. Schizophrenia is also inherited so it's possible her parents have it and they might not be treated for it, so they may be hostile toward her. However, unless they are a threat to her, she should be honest near them and tell them what's happening to her.

well it depends on the situation and what state you live within. in crappy michigan it works like this if a Doctor says you enjoy to go to the hospital you'll wait in the bureau and then they will come and get you so if you try to escape you end up on the communication if she goes to the hospital own her own accord then they can release her at a before time usually about 3 days to a week. if she is committed they can keep her for up to 30 days she can appeal but she will lose trust me at the hospital they'll in process her supply a full body check over check for rashes scars etc etc do some blood work then furnish her a bed she will be on constant surveillance but they will respect her privacy she will have group therapy and see a Doctor mon-fri the Doctor is the one who decides if they can head off they will try out some medications on her see what works usually the hospital staff is nice and you can talk to them any time most of them are students. you need to update your Friend to go to the hospital now because if she kills her self you will blame your self its terrifically safe there when she leaves she will be ok
