How can I bring rid of the irritation concerning "dim-witted" folks?
Lately, it seems like people tend to really dance out of their way to ask me the silliest questions, and I find myself growing more and more impatient (inside).
Today, for instance I have hit a account high in the "stupid question" category. This morning, I arrive at work to have one of the secretaries within my company email me to ask some accounting questions. I answered them all very simply. She emails me spinal column and asks me the same questions AGAIN...so again I answer them simply. Then she emails me back a third time basically "to clarify" what I have written. Of course, foreign people you can blow off because they own a hard time with English.
Then my one of my bosses wants to know, "What forms I use the most"? for some silly email survey. WTH?
Then I get the doosy not a minute ago. A coworker of mine sees me in the kitchen and asks me, "Is that a dress?" Now, what she probably meant be, "Is that a dress as well as a top, or did they come together like that?". But to me, it's plain obvious that I am yes indeedy, wearing a dress. It's could not be confused next to a mumu or shirt for sure. She doesn't mean any harm, but she always asks me just about my clothes.
I know I don't display my "attitude" but I can't help but wishing I could wear it on my sleeve just resembling I used to when I was younger. Not professional, but people damn sure didn't mess with me. Does anyone else seize a ton of dumb questions (and repeat offenders) or is it just me?
Best Answer: Oh Please! My pet peeve. And I won't say where on earth I live, but I honestly think there is something in the hose down around here. (I grew up in a country town). I could go on and on about the stupidity I encounter.
