How to stop my disguising, abnormal mind?

I'm terrified of horror movies, but I watch them... alone at night, surrounded by the dark anyways because I love to scare myself. But anyways since I watched my bloody valentine 3-D everytime I turn to shave my legs or whatnot I always imagine myself have no control and shaving my eyeballs! Gross I know! :( How do I stop this?! It's because of the stupid movie at the start when they're contained by the mine and the dude there sticks the razor/slash thing in the guys eye and pulls it out. :( Ahh. This is bloodshed me, how do I stop my gross sick mind from thinking I will shave my dang eye?!I know I won't but the thought gives me the creeps. btw this isn't the only gross thing close to that I think. There is also completely shaving my nails off next to a blade and a zillion other things.
Best Answer: You may want to stop looking at horror films for one thing. This is obviously creating delusions of the mind. Why are you wanting to startle yourself and have these things come to mind? You need to stop that and watch a comedy or romance movie.

It's called your internal dialogue. we adjectives have one and all of us think of thoroughly strange things at one point or another. if you keep worrying about it you will keep freaking yourself out. its conventional. try not to think, i know that sounds wierd, but just try to blank out your mind and relax, and then appropriate a few deep breaths and think of something funny or nice that happened during your afternoon and try to replace the "gross" thoughts with the good ones. the more you do it, the easier it becomes to blank them out. donate it a try. x
