What do you do when depression hits on the weekend?
I have chronic mental health problems and depression hit hard today, I don't know how long it will second.
What do you do when depression gets worse during the weekend when your doctor is not in?
I probably wouldn't call them anyway. I don't want them to distribute me to the hospital. So what do you do when you have no one to talk to?
I discern like going to a secluded area and not dealing near anything.
It would be great if it were just temporary.
I enjoy been dealing with this for the last 5 yrs, since I be 17 yrs old.
I have been hospitalized several times. All that have done for me is make me try to do anything to get out. I think I would be much more predictable to hurt myself in a hospital where all I own is time,
I have had 1 on 1 monitoring. They can't totally protect you from yourself without sedating you.
Best Answer: I try and carry out in the sunshine, do some physical activity or exercise and the like. If I'm really suicidal, I'll stir to a public place as it's hard to commit suicide in a public place. These things are darn hard to do I know as I've be there. I don't call the therapist or doctor because approaching you, I'm scared of being committed which has happen to me before. So far these things has worked for me. I try really hard not to dwell on the depression or suicidal thoughts. Again this is darn complex.

I am going through the same exact thing. I just try to listen to music, study movies, draw, and write. Walking also helps eventhough it is often hard to travel out when you are depressed. I don't blame you for not wanting to go to the hospital. If you can hang in, appointment your dr. first thing Monday morning. Use mind over matter. Make your thoughts focus on something positive, think of smaller quantity fortunate people, take a hot bath. Stay on a regular routined programme. Plan out each hour. This helps the time go by. Go to the movies or amble around the mall, or go the library and just sit and read or empire watch. Hang in there. Just know that me and probably a zillion other culture are going through this too. I hate when that happen, but I know exactly how you feel. I usually tell myself just to take thru the day and if I feel worse tomorrow to talk to someone or write out exactly how I'm inkling, to see if it helps. If not then I have call the emergency room once before. Usually, it passes by Sun mornings.
