Does this sound like OCD?
I own a abnormal fixation near symmetry when I write. Meaning similar to... indisputable words that appear asymmetrical bother me... For example, closely of words that contain the lower-case memo "p" bother me because the epistle extends below the lines on the broadsheet and somehow doesn't look symmetrical. As a result I tend to avoid using lasting words surrounded by my writing--I'll try to find another word to replace it--or I'll try to write the sentence surrounded by such a channel to "balance" it out. Also (only on occasion) when I read I can find myself concentrating more on the symmetry of the words than the actual course book.
I know it sounds really unnatural, but it bugs me plentifully since I enjoy to write adjectives the time. It started a couple years ago... I be writing some essays and be below deeply of stress.
