Positive affirmations: Are there any peer reviewed studies that show it actually works?

I see seriously of anectodal evidence, but are in attendance really any perfect studies that show positive affirmations really work? Is it even testable? How would you set a control for it? I've googled - I cannot find any insinuation to a virtuous controlled study...

Death or life <-- which do you prefer?

Answers:    you might want Medline or Dialog ( dialog may hold changed names) to do a proper scrabble - i figure out the desire for properly controlled, peer reviewed research.

I haven't see any, but i own not looked.

I can put in the picture you that 2 diff psychologists and 2 diff psychiatrists hold recommended i use them - so nearby is some approval of them among the professionals.
(still, not indistinguishable as research)

I feel at worst, in attendance is espousal that they sustain some those, and don't hurt anybody.

Is it testable?
I ponder so, using a subjective degree ( a Likert enormity?)
of how respectively S feel - measured on hours of daylight 0, morning 10, light of day 20, sunshine 30

Control casing?
Perhaps the subjects could respectively read a standard para
respectively time - that be more middle of the road, or they could meditate for 30 second respectively daytime.
those are only just guesses. I am not thrilled near any approach.

but i REALLY would not want the control Ss to be doing NEGATIVE affirmations
