Psychiatrist information?

Lately i own be intrested contained by becoming a psychiatrist, and i be only just wonderin, how much years dose it whip to become one? and what it this "3 year residency" item someone told me? you bring back salaried during that time or what? im confuzed someone minister to me plz =]

Am I alone? Is there any grownups here suffering from depression because of your parents (abuse, neglect)?

I've hear that internship and residency is recurrently the hardest time within the enthusiasm of a doc. Many licensed clergy will literally proscribe to marry someone within medical university because of this. However, this is not true of adjectives clergy, and if you really want to you CAN brand name it thru med institution and intern/residency.

Help me with violence?

4 years undergrad, usually pre-med
4 years medical university
1 year internship (paid peanuts)
3 years residency (paid more peanuts and some cashews)

I construe you might also inevitability more time to specialize within psych. Not sure if that's covered surrounded by the residency, but I chew over perchance not. Residents rotate thru oodles departments, and psychiatrists are full fledged medical doctors. I don't dream up they can skip the regular resident rotations. I know that nearly adjectives other speciality areas contained by tablets require further time beyond residency for documents (or doesn`t matter what it's called).

Do you feel like this?

Answers:    First you own to goto Medical School and acquire an MD. Then you do a 1 year internship and next a 3-year residency where on earth you are "practicing" as a psychiatrist, but below the supervision of someone.

You procure salaried during your intern year and your residency but not as much as when you are fully licensed and practicing on your own.
