Always tired and response listless...?
The past two weeks or so I've been really tried... all the time. For example, I'll stir up after a full night's sleep... and within an hour be falling asleep again. I'll start getting tired ta 8pm or something... it's ridiculous! I used to be able to stay out till 3am then attain up for school at 6am... just this past dive I was doing this! In addition, I have started to discern extremely listless and not depressed but... sad. I don't know what's happening!! I am a PhD student and doing a lot of work - so I thought it be just my body catching up on sleep but it has gone on for too long now. I am surrounded by virtuous friends and good times... so what's going on?? In addition, I eat very well and tend to be on a vegetarian diet (my flatmate is veg and we cook alot together)
any ideas? :(
Best Answer: Sounds like you hold a lot going on in your life and near are myriad reasons you could be feeling like this. It sounds similar to you are suspecting depression, but you can't justify it. Depression can strike at the most unusual times: even when things seem to be going right. Depression doesn't have to be related to a trauma or a single event. You said you're working on your Doctorate and that contained by itself is a huge stressor. Research, tests, and late nights adjectives add up. It's also possible you could be a little anemic. Three hours of sleep night after hours of darkness for extended periods is not great for your body. Even if you're eating well you may not be getting ample iron and protein to keep your body where it needs to be. Make sure you're getting some angelic quality protein. Either way, check with a doctor, perchance run some bloodwork and see if you could be anemic or depressed. There are a zillion other reasons you could be feeling like this, but your body is trying to detail you something so be sure to listen! :)

I'd check first that you're getting the right vitamins that you need. I was on a vegan diet for a while and I be tired until I realized I was skimping on the B and C vitamins. If that doesn't work, check out your sleeping arrangements. At college, I didn't sleep well because in that was a flood light right outside the window (not pointing surrounded by, but still casting a lot of light). If there's any light contained by the room when you sleep, try putting a blanket up over your bed or something to block it out. Best sleep I ever got was in pitch-black shadow. If that's not it either, you might just need to win more sun in the morning. For me, the morning sets the mood of the whole day. If I spend the morning surrounded by a dark or dreary room or something like that, I feel tired and crappy for the together day. Those are my suggestions. If you still feel bad, you might newly want to see a doctor (or a school nurse?) and ask them their opinion.Related Questions...
