How to induce sleepiness?

Basically, I'm studying for exams and would like to be able to wake up precipitate and maintain a normal sleeping pattern. I go to sleep at 4am today, and woke up at 4pm today - and this means I won't be able to go to sleep until 4 within the morning. What are ways that can induce sleepiness? Suggestions other than medication and alcohol please - alcohol actually has the effect of making me restless and fidgety and doesn't aid in getting me sleepy.
