It happens ALL OF THE TIME. I don't necessarily have to have a cold or anything to hold it.
I'd say that I get it all within all about 3 days out of 7.
The left side of my throat hurts when I swallow. It get worse at night, almost excruciating. Sometimes there is a little white/yellow gunk on the wager on of my throat. I've also been known to getting growths on the left side of my throat that come across to be filled with pus, which burst. That is not so common though, I singular get that about 5 or 6 times a year.
I had my tonsils removed when I be six (I'm seventeen now).
The right side NEVER hurts.
Please help, my doctor is rubbish.
