do contacts protect your eyes from scratch?
my parents won't let me get contacts! Please help me entice them to let me get contacts!
Best Answer: contacts do not protect your eyes from scratches. if your eye is itrritated or scratched, it is from your eyes one dry and eye drops(rewetting solution) that are made just for contact wearers should be used to keep your eyes moist and clean. contact irritation to the eye mostly happen when you remove the contact before using the rewetting solution causing the contact to "peel" off the cornea cause corneal abrasions. also sleeping with contacts are not a good concept since it can cause the same thing. as long as you can show your parents that you will be responsible for the safekeeping of your eyes,are able to put in your contacts and remove them without oblige, follow the eye doctors instructions in the use and care of your contacts, keeping them clean and not losing them...next you shouldnt have a problem...
