I'm going to the hospital to do a 'Tilt Table Test'...?
I'm not allowed to eat or drink(except water) 6 hrs before the experiment, which is fine. But I also take medication, am I still allowed to take that medication or does it just depend on what characteristics of medication it is?
Optional question:If anyone's heard of this test, the doctor also have stick a needle in the back of my mitt, do you know what that needle does? Thanks so much! :)
Best Answer: Call the hospital and ask, it's their job to answer any questions you may hold about your procedure. We're not doctors, much less yours - we don't know. Depending on what the medication is for and how important it is that you not miss a dose, I would probably help yourself to it and just explain to your doctor that you've taken it and is this OK. The needle is probably an IV or something, that's what I'm thinking anyway.
