I've heard of going to quasi-medical-spas for this as a supposed benefit -- personally, I think it's only another way people think up to receive money out of you, with no documented medical benefits. Doctors would do things like examine the colon for cancer or polyps (colonoscopy), or do surgery on the colon, not "clean" it.
The only drive to clean the colon is to prepare it for a colonoscopy, in which case the lenient is given a special diet to follow for several days followed by a special liquid to be drunk the night before the procedure. "High colonics" or "colonic irrigation" are nearly on the same level medically as voodoo, not practiced by reputable MDs.
