whats the role and responsibilities that enrol nurses hold when looking after?

Best Answer: Generally speaking, EN's can do most things that any nurse can do, IE Generall patient care, Observation recording, showers, Cathetars, bloods, and in a minute medications... however they are now called EEN's (Endorsed enrol nurses). Now any new en's have to be endorsed to give medication. and the role of the RN has changed to a more admin type role in "Most" Cases. Oh and i should mention AIN's Assistants in nursing immediately full fill the Prior EN Role of general patient thoroughness, ie showers obserations, pressure area care... but not medications, or cathetars..
I hold been an EN For 5 years in a WIDE Variety of roles, ED, Adged care, Radiography, medical/sergical ward
