Is bacterial vaginosis found through the pap smear or the conducting tests of STDs?
I recently found out I had bacterial vaginosis and am just wondering if this be found through the STD testing or the pap smear?
Best Answer: Actually, a pap smear only tests for cervical cancer. Lots of women refer to a pelvic exam as a pap smear, but they are two different things. While doing a pelvic exam a doctor can do a pap smear and a assessment for bacteria.
