Breastfeeding/Acne/MIRENA Question?
I recently weaned my child from breastfeeding. I have the Mirena IUD and I've begun breaking out! I didn't even hold acne in high school! At first I tried a hundred different facade washes and lotions, but now I'm beginning to wonder if it's connected near my IUD. Perhaps the cessation of breastfeeding is causing a hormonal imbalance...? Has anybody else experienced this? Thanks!
Best Answer: I started breaking out toward the end of my pregnancy, so I thought it be hormone-related. I have always broken out a little around my time. After I delivered, it seemed to get for a while better. I got the Mirena 8 weeks later, and I have the worst acne I've ever have in my life! I'm breastfeeding too. The only item that helps clear it up is tanning! So, I don't know if this is something that was just going to crop up anyways or it it is related to the Mirena or a hormomal thing. I know that didn't really help you, just required to let you know that I feel your pain!
