How to insert a tampon?

I'm 13 and I'm going swimming tomorrow. How do I insert a tampon? Which direction do I push? And do I have to open my labia minora? so that I can see my vagina hole to insert it? or does sitting down just cause it open?
Best Answer: When you open the box if you get convinced kinds, their should be directions in their. Put one leg up on the toilet and the other on the ground, that should spread yourself a little more apart. Then stick it up their and later push the move able part up. Once it is all the path up slide the whole thing out. Also don't worry it wont go and get stuck up their, since their is a string attached. But don't sleep with them still inside of you, it could cause an infection, and don't have them within for any more then about 8 hours. Hope that helps :)

Wat if a woman have elevated testosterone?

Step1Choose a tampon appropriate to your menstrual flow: oil lamp, average or heavy. Step 2 Wash your hands with soap and hot hose down. Step 3 Remove the tampon from the wrapper. Step 4 Slide the applicator a few inches into the vagina (tampon side in), but not so far that you can't hold the outer of the two tubes that make up the applicator. Step 5 Push the inner tube into the outer tube, releasing the tampon into the vagina. Step 6 Slide the applicator out. Step 7Make sure the tampon's string remains outside the vagina. Step 8Wrap the applicator in toilet paper and throw it away. Do not flush it down the toilet.

SHOULD I USE TAMPONS? these question and heaps...

Well, there's a diagram than comes beside the box of tampons that may help you. Squatting with a small handheld mirror to see what your working with help. Normally squatting helps "open" you up. It inserts diagonally, not straight up. toward the tail of your spine. Hold onto the wider end, there they own little finger rests, insert up to your fingers and push the plunger in, pull the applicator out and make sure the string is flaccid out. Done. You shouldn't feel any discomfort, maybe slight pressure but that's normal your first time. Hope that help, good luck!

Hi, When you buy the tampons there will be instructions with a diagram inside the box. If you're bleeding heavily run for medium or heavy flow tampons, otherwise, light is fine. (always progress them every 4 hours; and use a pad if you're not bleeding enough to soak a tampon - unless you're going swimming!) If you wash your hand now, and sit on the toilet (or on any seat), you will find you can easily slip a finger into your vagina. That's how it will work when you slide a tampon in (with or in need applicator). You don't really need to be able to see your opening. Some race lie on the floor, or squat, or stand and put one leg up on a chair or toilet seat. You can experiment and see what works for you. You'll enjoy a choice of tampons with or without applicators. sometimes the ones with applicators are for a while stiff to get moving - try twisting as you push if that happens, and dig surrounded by with your nails if you're losing grip (chances are it will be fine and easy). Make sure you wash your hand first. If it feels uncomfortable when it's in, you haven't put it adjectives the way in. Once it's inserted you shouldn't be able to grain it. You'll be fine! Enjoy your swim!

why is one nipple dark?

Hello , If you are just now using tampons then sort sure that you buy one that already has an applicator on it and not those little O.B ones that you have to do it yourself because they are hard to do yourself to take home sure they re in the right place. once you have one with an applicator already on it you open out it then stand on the floor and lift your leg up and rest your foot on the toilette so you are standing on one leg and the other one is rested on the toilette Seat. Then on the tampon you will see the top half and the bottom partially like the bottom half can push up into the top half. you will know what i am discussion about when you see it . so insert the tampon to where the top half ends and consequently push the bottom part up in the top part . that pushes the tampon out of the applicator and within the right spot. the box will also come with instructions to .Also never sleep with a tampon in and convert every 4 hours. 6 at the latest. I hope i was of help to you!

Okayy.. There are different types of tampons. If the tampon comes beside a plastic applicator on the outside, you should hold it in between your fingers and make sure one of your fingers is resting on the bottom. Slide the entire tampon into your vagina. You should be able to touch where the hole is, and yes, it will be open if you sit. Standing works better, though, so that you can see if you bend over. There is always a file on the plastic applicator to show you how far to push it in. Push the finger on the bottom up, you should feel the cotton separating from the plastic. Only push to the line! If it is too far contained by, it will really hurt, but if its not in enough, you will leak. You should be gone with only the cotton inside of you and the plastic applicator can be thrown away. If you are going swimming, I would use nail clippers to produce the string shorter(not too short!- you have to be able to get it out.) so that it doesn't dangle out of your bathing suit. Ask your mom or another older female if this doesn't help. Be sure to cart ibuprofen afterwards, and don't blackout like I almost did just typing this article. Also read the pamplet in the box your tampon come in. Here's some more helpful bits: http://womenshealth.about.com/cs/azhealthtopics/ht/How_Insert_Tamp.htm Good luck! Have fun swimming! <3 Karaleigh :)

instructions contained by the tamp. box.

girls: what are they?

Basically you slowly push it in and kind of curve it because your vagina is slightly curved. Don't shove it in. Make sure the string is lifeless out but make sure it's in all the channel and not showing the actual tampon. It might hurt the first time but practicing is the best thing to do and eventually the pain will go away. You can look up guides and/or look at the directions on the box. Good luck! http://www.youngwomenshealth.org/tampon.html
