should you exercise when recovering anorexia?
hi, so im 16year old girl 5ft 2 and weight 82-85lbs, im curious, should i exercise while recovering? (yes, i truly am trying to recover) My nutritionist says to be wary, but why? wouldn't i just gain like fifty lbs? i dont want to not exercise! is it ok to exercise? like 30min? shouldn't i do that to boost my metabolism? do you know? please answer! please no crap.
Best Answer: economically i do know that when you go to an in-patient Unit, or Rehab they make sure no one exercises b/c adjectives they care about is the patient getting for a moment more weight to be healthy. Right now (as my mom used to transmit me when i was your weight) your at a weight where you could drop deceased any Moment,( I know its really scary) especially during exercise. I would suggest no doing it until your at least 90 so your heart wont fail.

Personally, I wouldn't risk it if I be you. Not yet at least. And, exercising will not speed your metabolism. It will burn calories, but actually it will slow your metabolism if anything. I enunciate that you should continue to gain weight without exercise. Once you hit 90 pounds, you could do a power step each day for no more than 30 minutes. And, when you hit 100, you can do no more than 30 minutes of cardio or whatever you want. But, I wouldn't recommend doing any real cardio workout until you are out of the double digits. For your height, it really isn't healthy to be beneath 100 pounds. And, burning off extra calories won't help you too much.Related Questions...
