should I shift to the urgent assistance clinic for a mild UTI?
I'm pretty much positive I have a UTI. I've been having symptoms for former times couple days. I tried curing it myself with drinking loads of water and cranberry juice, but it hasn't done much of anything. So, I'm finally breaking down and going to travel to the doctor. My question is, would the urgent care clinic be a good place to progress? or should I make an appointment and wait to see my doctor?
Best Answer: depends on how much discomfort you are in. you know your own body, if you have an idea that its urgent then its urgent. I get them alot and drinking lots of water help but antibiotics are usually what i need. Hope that helps. Goodluck :)
Answer: well, it really depends on how you touch. a lot of UTIs actually cure themselves by doing things like what you described, drinking lots of sea and cranberry juice as well as going to the bathroom whenever you feel close to it (even if that's every 15 minutes) so your urine washes out the bacteria in your bladder and does not afford it time to replicate. also, you need to make sure you are wearing all cotton underwear and not too tight jeans. also, avoid sex while you own a UTI. if all that doesn't really amount to anything, then you might as well budge to the doctor cause prolonged UTIs in the bladder (cystitis) which are normally mild, can progress to UTIs surrounded by your ureters and even kidneys which can be damaging. whether or not its urgent once again depends on how you feel. if you start having a frenzy or anything like that you certainly need to progress to the doctor right away.
