Best Answer: Until it get better because we heal at different rates. Didn't the doctor tell you? You usually do physical therapy and your progression decide when you get to take it off. It could be several months. And if it's truly torn after it wouldn't be a regular black, stretchy velcro one it would be an actual hinged knee brace.
