Why can't you run birth control when your infantile?
Ok,So i'm not a little girl anymore. I know what birth control does,It makes your period lighter,and you can't take pregnant. Now i'm not a little girl anymore. i'm a teenager..But once again me and my mom or aunts never sat down talk about it. except period's and stuff...But anyway,I wuz just thinking,Should a teen be taking birth control? What if my 11 year old cousin,{Caitlin} took it? She started her term too..Just wondering,I'm not an expert on birth control...:P

It works because it sends a powerful dose of hormones to your body 'tricking' it into thinking it is already pregnant. This large dose of hormones is not good for the body, and esp surrounded by young girls, could throw off your hormone levels ineradicably. Don't take the pill unless you need it. Teens should not be taking borth control unless their doctor recommends it to regulate their period. Teens should not be having sex OR they should be using condoms to protect agains pregnancy and std's!

I honestly don't see a problem with an eleven year old person on it, since she has her period. I wish I'd begin birth control earlier than I did because I had cramps from hell and had really brawny periods. Well, you might not be a little girl, but why would you want to take b.c pills? If you're not sexually influential, then there's no big reason to take them. Birth control pills transport some health risks actually. You can get blood clots more efficiently with them. Although the risk of getting them is low in young girls who don't smoke, it's still a risk. Plus, you might still be growing. The ultimate thing you would need is more hormones. Idk but your mom may not want you to take them wreak she might see it as you having sex, even if you're not. If you want to start taking them for health reasons (like super unpromising menstrual cramps), then I suggest you speak to your doctor, cause he/she might see that's its fine for you to take it below those circumstances. And an 11 yr old has no business taking birth control, even if she got her length. She's just started puberty and a bunch of hormones are going crazy on her body cause she's growing. Like I said, the last entry she would need too, is more hormones. I'm no expert either but seeing it from a doctor's perspective, I don't see a good satisfactory reason for a person, such as an 11 yr old to be taking birth control. She's of late too young. Why would she want to be preventing pregnancy if she's not sexually active? Who knows what it would do to her body within the long run. Idk. this is what I think.
