I suggest wearing sporting ankle guards. I play ALOT of competitive Netball, and it really help wearing ankle guards. BUT! I reflect if you're gonna wear them, afterwards you should probably with the sole purpose wear them for training, because you still want to variety sure your ankles can function in good health short them. Wearing them though, should toughen up your ankles. Just try going for a run once lacking them, and once beside them, every week. It works for me and my Netball, and Netball is REALLY tough on your ankles.
